For instance, if you need to change a specific text string to have a different color, size or font, you can do so by simply selecting it and changing it in the Formatting Panel. Remember, when you plot from a layout, you plot the sheet 1:1, but the viewport is set to a scale. The Width factor stretches out the wording with whatever scale factor you decide on and the oblique angle will slant the text at the angle you specify.Text in an AutoCAD drawing is the means by which you communicate information. Lastly you have the Width factor and the oblique angle. In the Effects section you can set the text to show backwards, upside down and also in a vertical manner. Selecting Annotative will keep the size of the text the same on paper space no matter what the scale is. If the text style is set to a non zero number then the text style will control the size of the font being used. In this case the dimension style will control what size the font is. If the sizing is set to zero then the size of the font being used is controlled by whatever it is being used for eg. In the Font section, you can select the Font that you would like to present the text in as well as if the font style is Regular, Bold, Bold Italic or Italic.
